Data We Process

Passeriq processes the following types of data:

• Shop domain and app session data
• Product metadata (product names, product images, product IDs, pricing, and other merchant-owned fields)
• Review content from your connected review provider (e.g., Judge.me), with customer PII removed before storage or AI processing
• AI-generated product analysis and insights derived only from scrubbed reviews and merchant-owned product metadata

Purpose

We process this data solely to generate product intelligence and recommendations for the merchant who installed our app.

Data Protection

• We don't store reviewer personal information
• Review content is processed with PII scrubbing to remove personal identifiers
• We don't resell data or train models across different merchants
• Data is processed only for the merchant who granted access

Third-party Processors

To provide Passeriq app's functionality, we rely on trusted third-party services:

• Judge.me – provides product review data from your store that we ingest, scrub for customer PII, and use as an input to our analysis.
• OpenAI – processes scrubbed review text and merchant-owned product metadata to generate product insights. We do not permit cross-merchant training or reselling of your data.

Data Retention

We retain shop data while the app is installed. When you uninstall the app (without a separate privacy request), we mark your store as inactive, stop all further processing, and retain shop data for up to 30 days solely to support a seamless re-install experience and to meet basic operational and legal needs. After that window, we delete active shop data from our primary systems. Any remaining copies may persist for a short period in infrastructure-level backups maintained by our hosting provider (typically for no more than a few days) and are automatically overwritten on their normal backup cycle.

When Shopify sends us a shop/redact privacy webhook, we promptly delete shop-scoped data from our active systems regardless of uninstall timing. Any remaining copies in short-lived infrastructure backups are not used to restore or reintroduce your data and are removed automatically as those backups are cycled out.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. We support Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

International Transfers

Data may be processed outside the EEA using Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
